Ocient Raises $100 Million Series C to Expand Agentic AI Analytics Platform

Ocient, an agentic AI solutions provider, has raised $100 million in a Series C funding round co-led by BOKA Capital and OCA Ventures. The round included participation from all existing investors and brings the company’s total capital raised to $260 million.

Existing investors participating in the round include Greycroft, In-Q-Tel, Blue Bear Capital, Buoyant Ventures, PSP Growth, Pritzker Group Venture Capital, and Eron Wolf. Dallas Venture Capital joined as a new investor.

The funding will accelerate the delivery of OcientAIQ Solutions for organizations using agentic AI analytics across dynamic, petabyte-scale datasets.

Ocient Expects Revenue to More Than Triple

Ocient expects to more than triple its revenue this year, driven by demand from customers in industries that rely on continuously expanding, high-volume datasets.

Its OcientAIQ Solutions are designed to address industry-specific data challenges. Built on the OcientAIQ Unified Data Platform, the solutions combine governance and high-performance analytics to help agents and analysts query and interpret data in real time.

Each deployment is tailored to the customer’s operating environment.

“Our customers operate at a scale where the speed, quality, and reliability of an answer can have significant consequences,” said John Morris, CEO of Ocient. “Ocient was built to help organizations meet those requirements, and this investment, together with the expertise of our investors, will help us extend the reach of OcientAIQ to more customers as they scale their data and AI operations.”

Funding to Support Agentic AI Analytics

The new capital will help Ocient meet growing demand for AI analytics as organizations deploy AI agents across enterprise operations.

Unified Data Platform of the firm integrates data ingestion, analytics, governance, and orchestration. The platform was built to cater to the needs of AI agents and applications that handle data of high speed and full resolution in both cloud and on-prem environments.

“Turning advanced technology into dependable operational capability is now the critical test across defense and national security,” said John James, CEO, BOKA Capital. “Ocient’s architecture, and its record managing complex data environments at scale, put it in a strong position to meet that test. We are pleased to co-lead this round, to join the board, and to support the company through its next phase of growth.”

“We first invested in Ocient because we believed in the team’s ability to tackle problems that others had largely left unsolved,” said Jim Dugan, founding managing partner of OCA Ventures. “The advancements Ocient has made since then reinforce that early conviction, and we’re proud to further our support as the team enters its next stage of growth.”

Ocient notes that their platform has governance features for AI agents such as access, policy and data lineage. The analysis occurs in the platform rather than through a language model which ensures that the result can be repeated and verified without an expensive movement of data and the associated token costs.

Earlier this year, Ocient also formalized its India operations and Ocient National Security Solutions as dedicated subsidiaries. The company has continued to expand its strategic partner network.
