Singapore-based global mobility technology company Multipolitan has raised $2 million in seed funding at a pre-money valuation of $25 million. The round was led by EmergentX, a global venture studio, accelerator and incubator.
The funds received will allow Multipolitan to execute its global free consumer application launch in December 2026. This funding will be used to further provide for the development of Multipolitan’s Private Client service, create a branch office in Manila, and hire more workers in technology.
Multipolitan moves on to the next step of business with an existing revenue-generating business. Multipolitan’s Private Client service has generated over $4 million of net revenue within less than two years, confirming the fact that the technology platform of the company works efficiently.
The company was founded by Nirbhay Handa, former Group Head of Business Development at Henley & Partners, and Lee Smith, entrepreneur and co-founder of Japanese fintech company Paidy, which was acquired by PayPal for $2.7 billion.
Developing a Cross-Border Mobility Platform
Multipolitan is developing a platform to help people manage international mobility requirements, including passports, visas, immigration rules, travel documents, insurance and flight information.
Its consumer app is organized around three areas: Live, Travel and Stay. Live helps users manage passports, visas, residence details and family documents. Travel provides entry requirements, pre-arrival information and flight updates. Stay is designed to track time spent abroad, stay allowances and approaching deadlines, including certain Schengen travel scenarios.
The platform is supported by Multipolitan’s technology systems, including INREX, its immigration intelligence engine; FlightIQ, its travel intelligence platform; and Visa Connect, an AI-powered visa engine.
The app is expected to launch worldwide for free in December 2026. Multipolitan plans to use feedback from the initial rollout to develop a premium version, targeted for the second quarter of 2027.
Multipolitan Plans Expansion in Manila
The presence of Philippine involvement in the Multipolitan development plan marks its expansion into Asia. The company aims to create a technology office in Manila and recruit mobile and full-stack developers, which would help develop products by the company.
Multipolitan currently employs more than 40 people across its Singapore headquarters and offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Bengaluru. It also plans to establish offices in Manila and Kuala Lumpur as it expands its regional presence.
