Portugal’s Beyond Vision Raises €28M+ to Scale AI-Powered Drones

Beyond Vision, a company that develops drones and unmanned aerial systems, has raised more than €28 million in funding. The round was co-led by Índico Capital Partners and Lince Capital, with continued investment from ActiveCap, which became a shareholder in 2024.

Founded in 2013, Beyond Vision is led by CEO Dário Pedro and Chairman Luís Miguel Campos. The company initially focused on developing software solutions using advanced technologies.

Over time, Beyond Vision expanded into AI-powered drones and cloud-based platforms for managing them. Its products have gained industry recognition, and the company has become a registered NATO supplier and received several awards.

The latest investment comes as the company continues to grow. Beyond Vision has expanded its team to 150 employees and exceeded its revenue target for 2025, reflecting strong business performance.

The company has also expanded its customer base across several countries, serving both military and civilian clients. The new funding will support its continued growth as it strengthens its position in the unmanned aerial systems market.

Tomás Lavin Peixe, Head of Venture Capital at Lince Capital, shared: “The current geopolitical context and the strengthening of European investment in defence are creating new opportunities for technology companies capable of competing internationally. We believe that Beyond Vision, due to its technological capacity, experience, and ambition, is well-positioned to seize this moment and contribute to the development of a stronger national ecosystem in high-value-added technologies.”

Beyond Vision will use part of the funding to increase its investment in research and development. The company plans to improve its AI technology and add new features to its cloud-based platform for managing drones.

The funding will also help Beyond Vision expand into new international markets. The company aims to strengthen its presence in defence, security, and critical infrastructure monitoring.
