Skylight, a family technology company known for its digital calendars and smart family products, has expanded its credit facility to $75 million.
The company increased the facility by $25 million, with the additional financing provided by SG Credit Partners, alongside Wingspire Capital. Skylight plans to use the capital to expand its product lineup and enter more sales channels and markets.
The financing announcement follows what Skylight described as its biggest year to date. The company said its business doubled and now reaches more than 12 million customers, including 1.7 million households using Skylight Calendar.
“Families have always been at the center of what we build, and as we grow, we can take even more off their plates,” said Chia Chung, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Skylight. “This commitment lets us double down on what’s working and create dedicated products for every stage of family life.”
Skylight has remained bootstrapped, meaning it has grown without traditional equity venture funding. The company says it has reinvested its profits into developing products for families.
The expanded credit facility will help Skylight continue developing new products, including Skylight Buddy and Skylight Assistant.
Skylight Buddy is a routine coach designed to help children manage their daily tasks and routines. The company said the product sold out within a week of its launch.
“We’ve watched families fall in love with Skylight for years, and we’re excited to keep backing a team that builds with so much care,” said Dan McCallum, Managing Director at SG Credit Partners.
“It’s rare to find a company growing this fast and this profitably, and we’re glad to be along for what comes next,” said Will Bence, Senior Managing Director at Wingspire Capital.
Skylight Assistant is an AI-powered family assistant that users can communicate with through text. It is designed to help households manage tasks and stay organized.
Founded in 2014, Skylight develops products designed to help families stay connected and organized.
Its Skylight Calendar is a touchscreen family calendar that brings together events, activities, chores, meal plans and other household information.
The company also offers the Skylight Frame, a touchscreen digital photo frame that allows users to send and display photos quickly.
With the expanded $75 million credit facility, Skylight plans to continue expanding its product portfolio while entering additional channels and markets.
