Cymphony, an AI governance and security startup based in New York and Tel Aviv, has raised $30 million in funding to help companies manage the security risks created by AI agents.
The financing includes a $25 million Series A, co-led by Sequoia Capital and SMBC Fin Atlas Beyond Fund.
Founded by Shy Dekel, Idan Berkovits and Edi Gotlieb, Cymphony helps businesses track and control access to sensitive data by both human employees and autonomous AI agents.
The company’s platform creates a workforce graph that connects identities, systems, permissions, data and activity in one view. It helps security teams identify risky access, prioritize threats and automate actions such as correcting permissions.
Cymphony says its platform has already identified significant security risks at large organizations. In one case, it found around 85,000 files that had become accessible to AI tools and agents. The company helped close the exposure and verify that the files had not been accessed.
Cymphony’s customers include KKR, Syngenta, Cass Information Systems, and Athennian. The company has around 30 employees across New York and Tel Aviv and is seeing growing demand from international markets.
The new funding will be used to accelerate product development, expand engineering and go-to-market teams and help enterprises securely deploy AI agents at scale.
